Meet our Vauxhall Corsa Prize Draw Winner!

Tara Beauchamp is the Oxfordshire Press Christmas prize draw winner. Tara won the fantastic prize of a Vauxhall Corsa Expression. But with three kids and a very tall husband the family needs a slightly larger car. So they decided to take the £6,000 cash alternative.

The whole family – husband Steve and their three kids; James, Emma and Thomas came into the office to pick up their cheque- they were absolutely over the moon!

“It’s real”, said Steve as he felt the cheque in his hand! He never thought Tara would win such a brilliant prize through her comping hobby. “I had 21 missed calls on my phone at work the day Tara found out she’d won”, he told me. “ In the end she was so excited she came into the office to tell me!”

Tara enters about 100 competitions a month and since winning our £6,000 prize draw has been on a winning streak. In the last week she has won her own personal chef for a day, £75.00 in jewellery, a bottle of whiskey and tickets to the Sea Life Sanctuary in Durham.

Tara has now started to do tie-breaker competitions, realising that fewer people enter and so you have more chance of winning. In fact on the drive down Tara was thinking of why she enjoys Patak’s meals (in no more than 15 words), in order to win 365 bottles of Cobra beer!

The family have decided to spend the money on things that they wouldn’t normally be able to do – the first thing they are going to do is get a new bathroom suite! “ I’ve been entering competitions to win a bathroom for the last two months,” Tara said. “ And now I’m going to get one!” It is fantastic when you win prizes that will last you years and years - a constant reminder of your win!
