£13,000 in prizes in just a few days!

It really had been a horrible couple of years. Nothing seemed to be going right and it was difficult to be my usual positive self.  Even my MyComps login went horribly wrong when I joined the NCA and changed my email address at the same time.

I was also involved in a serious car accident which left me unable to walk and recovery has been a long hard road.

One of the major targets on my list was getting medically cleared to drive again. I daresay many people would wonder why on earth I would want to drive again but to me it was going to give me my independence back. It took me 15 months but I am glad to say I did get my medical clearance to get back behind the wheel – which is just as well! 

I had entered quite a few competitions before my login went into meltdown but, if we are being honest, you enter not really expecting to win anything. The email meltdown was just another problem in a long line of disasters.

But then it started....I was notified that I had won a runners-up prize in the Evans prize draw - two tickets to Cirque du Soleil and I was so pleased. It is a show I have wanted to see for ages. So we are heading off to see that next week.

Then when you think things can't get better I get a telephone call from the Mirror Newspaper Group to tell me I had won their competition for...

A Ford Fiesta Zetec! Poor Karen at the Mirror must have wondered what was wrong with me as I couldn't say too much – I thought it wasn't really happening. In fact I thought it was a figment of my imagination until today when the dealership called about registration.

Just under £13,000 in prizes in the space of of couple of days. And just to add the cherry on the top - my login problems were finally resolved yesterday and I can get back to entering comps again.

Just goes to show you should never give up and no matter how gloomy things seem something will come along to brighten things up again.

I still spend 45 mins each morning with competitions, after all you have to agree that luck is certainly on my side.
