Why comping is just like slimming … once you see results, there is no stopping you!

GINNY MEETS THE STARS
Ginny Regan has just won her first competition − a fantastic prize that has given her that comping buzz we all look forward to … now she’s entering more comps than ever every week, and is determined to keep on winning.
Ginny entered the Tesco online competition to win a VIP premier viewing of the film ‘The Holiday’ in Leicester Square in London.
She entered the competition the week before the closing date, found out she had won on the Friday and then was off to London for the VIP premier the following Tuesday!
“The fact that it was only a matter of days between finding out I was a winner and actually having my prize was fantastic”, says Ginny. “It was like a whirlwind adventure − and such a buzz!”
When they arrived in London, Ginny and her husband were taken straight to their hotel; the stylish Courthouse Kempinski, on Great Marlborough Street right in the heart of London. The hotel is fantastic, extremely luxurious and in a perfect location for the shops; opposite Carnaby Street, Soho and − much to Ginny’s delight − Libertys (it’s her favourite shop)!
After chilling out at the Courthouse and exploring the hotel’s facilities, they got ready for the night out on the red carpet in Leicester square! Arriving by taxi, they were greeted by the promoters of the competition and guided through the crowds and the cameras gathered outside the cinema.
“Can you imagine what it would be like to have that much attention wherever you go?” Ginny asked me a she described walking in to the cinema down the same red carpet as the stars. “The cameras are snapping all around you, and there are crowds of people either side of the carpet − it felt like we were Hollywood stars ourselves!”
Seated inside the cinema, with complementary bottles of elderflower water and popcorn, Ginny and her husband watched the cinema screen as it showed the celebrities walking down the same red carpet they just had. Stars of the film Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black then appeared in front of the screen and welcomed everyone to the film − it must be really surreal seeing huge Hollywood celebrities up close!
After the screening, Ginny and her husband were whisked off to the after show party for champagne, canapés and the chance to meet with the film’s sponsors, other competition winners and other celebrities invited to the screening!
Now this is an opportunity you would NEVER normally get to experience! That is what is so great about comping; you never know what prize is waiting round the next corner − it could be an experience of a lifetime that (unless you already mingled with the celebs) you would just never get to have!
Tesco and Tia Maria (both sponsors of the prize) were fantastic competition promoters and made the night an amazing experience for Ginny and her husband.
They felt like VIP celebrities every step of the evening − from staying at a 5*star luxury hotel in London to walking down the red carpet to a Hollywood film premier − it is a prize they will never forget.
“It was the perfect prize for us;” Ginny explains. “ We couldn’t take time off work to have a long holiday, so an exciting day/night like this was just want we wanted − it’s got me hooked on winning prizes now!”
Ginny enters between 20 and 30 comps a week, depending on how much time she gets… and is now determined to enter even more. As Ginny sees it, comping is a bit like slimming; “once you start to see the results − it inspires you to keep on going!”
I hope this inspires you to get even more entries in this month − good luck and happy comping!
