Run by compers, for compers

Yes! You CAN Win Luxury Prizes!

Rachel from Classic FM was on the phone telling them they had won a £6,000 luxury cruise to New York.

The Queen and Prince Phillip have sailed onboard, Hilary Clinton has entertained American officials and celebrities such as Antonio Bandaras and Melanie Griffith have escaped the busy rush of celebrity life.  The QM2 cruise ship is the most magnificent ocean liner in the world – you are transported into the world of high-society grandeur – an amazing experience.

On 4 July this year, the QM2 sailed into Southampton, commanding a calm and around the port - her whistle can be heard for 10 miles.  Her passengers were invited onboard a six-day luxury cruise across the Pacific to New York. Prize winners Dave and Carol Matthews from Cheltenham, were amongst those embarking on this £6,000 luxury trip, they won the fabulous holiday this March through a competition running on Classic FM’s website!

David was driving back from work when his phone rang, so his wife Carol answered it. Rachel from Classic FM was on the phone telling them they had won a £6,000 luxury cruise to New York- when did they want to go? David had to stop the car in the lay-by to take it all in.

“I had to write down the details and phone back Rachel in the classic FM office, the next day to make sure it wasn’t a joke!”

The brochure for the QM2 cruise came straight away, and after picking the dates for 4 July (to coincide with America’s Independence Day celebrations) everything was booked and arranged for them.

“It isn’t the most scenic route,” recalled David, “but the pleasure of the experience is all about the sheer luxury onboard”.  If you can imagine staying in The Dorchester Hotel or travelling on the Orient Express, the QM2 shares that aura of past 1920’s grandeur, elegance and style. David continued, “If anybody ever has the chance to travel on the QM2, DON’T hesitate”.
The experience sounds fabulous. Each evening they descended down the sweeping staircase to dine on an eight-course gourmet dinner in the ship’s Britannica restaurant – reminiscent of the opulent dining salons of the past. They sat with two other couples, and as you can imagine, the delicious food itself gave them plenty to talk about.
“ We couldn’t fit the captain on our table, so he had to sit on his own table next to ours,” joked David. The captain’s table was just to their right - and very grand!

At night the beaded dresses, black ties and champagne came out. Guests choose between watching dazzling performances in the Royal Court Theatre, listening to jazz in the glitzy Commodore Club or player a game of Roulette in the Empire casino. There is even the ‘Golden Lion’ traditional English pub, where nibbles from all over the world are brought to your table.

Dream holidays like this are more luxurious than most of our budgets will ever allow.  The trip would have cost David and Pam over £6,000. Yet, you can win amazing prizes just like this.

Winning such a fantastic prize must have felt been a real buzz… David?
“It is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
